Juneteenth-July 4th Jubilee 2026 is a family-friendly series of performances of American music in celebration of Juneteenth and July 4th with an historical narrative about freedom and liberty for all. Presented in communities throughout NYC by MORE Opera, the concerts feature soloists Emmanuel Cruz, Heather Peterson, and Laura Forero-Torres, and an intergenerational community chorus conducted by artistic director Cheryl Warfield.

This project is made possible, in part, with funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and Howard Gilman Foundation and administered by LMCC.

This project is made possible, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

MORE Opera  presents its “Fifth Annual Juneteenth Jubilee,” at 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2026 at the James Baldwin Outdoor Learning Center (JBOLC) Farmers Market, 100 W. Mosholu Parkway S., Bronx, NY 10468 (corner of Goulden and Sedgwick Avenues).  The free outdoor concert of traditional folk songs and spirituals from the Black experience and historical text to celebrate Juneteenth will be performed by MORE Opera's Community Chorus of Bronx area choristers. The Farmer’s Market is open from 11 am to 3 pm every Saturday from June 20th through October 31st.

The Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble (MORE Opera), is a NYC-based nonprofit focused on providing vocal arts education and culturally responsive musical programming to underserved communities.
